How does your team think? Your organisation think? Note I’m not asking “what do you think” I’m asking “how do you think?”
The way you think will impact how you problem solve, how you communicate, how you interact. Ever noticed that you find some people easier to influence, easier to communicate with, easier to get buy in from? It’s likely that you think in a similar way.
The Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI) is used to measure and describe thinking preferences and as a HBDI certified practitioner I can help you, your team and your organisation understand how you think.
HBDI identifies four different modes of thinking:
- Analytical
- Sequential
- Interpersonal
- Imaginative
The 120 question online assessment produces a report to show whether you have preferences in one, two, three or all four of these modes of thinking.
To demonstrate preferences fold your arms, notice which arm is on top. Now fold them again but with the opposite arm on top. This might feel strange, this is a preference in action. I’m guessing you didn’t even think about which arm would be on top the first time. Your thinking preferences operate in the same way. You have defaults that feel easy and natural and can access the other modes but it takes a bit more energy and effort.
After completing the survey, you will receive a comprehensive HBDI Profile report that includes an in-depth interpretation of the results, reference material about the Whole Brain® Model, comparison data, and activities for further exploration and development.
